WHEN COMMUNICATION MATTERS MOST,
IT OFTEN BECOMES HARDEST
Most of us know what good communication is supposed to look like. We know we should listen before responding, express ourselves clearly, remain respectful, and try to understand the other person’s perspective.
Yet the moment a conversation touches something important: feeling respected, valued, understood, trusted, accepted, or safe; our reactions can change.
We may become defensive.
We may withdraw.
We may interrupt, overexplain, assume intentions, raise our intensity, or stop saying what we actually need to say.
And suddenly, two people who may genuinely care about one another are no longer trying to understand the same conversation, rather they're trying to protect themselves within it.
The problem is that emotional activation changes the way we listen, interpret, and respond.
Relational communication begins with learning to recognize those moments: what activates us, what happens within us when it does, and how to remain intentional enough to choose a response rather than simply repeat an automatic pattern.

What Becomes Possible When You Communicate Better
When you develop the capacity to remain clearer, more aware, and more intentional when the conversation becomes important, you give your relationship a much better foundation for trust, understanding, repair, and growth. And throughout this program you will strengthen 5 core relational capacities:

CLARITY
Express what you think, feel, need, and value with greater precision, without expecting others to guess what is happening within you.

REGULATION
Recognize emotional activation earlier and remain grounded enough to respond intentionally rather than automatically.

LISTENING
Listen beyond the words being spoken, understand the experience behind them, and help others feel genuinely heard.

UNDERSTANDING
Reduce assumptions and misinterpretations by becoming more curious about perspectives, intentions, emotions, and meaning.

REPAIR
Recognize when connection has been disrupted and develop healthier ways to address misunderstandings, take responsibility, rebuild trust, and reconnect.
Designed for Individuals and Couples Alike
Relational communication is not a skill reserved for romantic relationships.
It shapes how we connect with our partners, families, friends, colleagues, teams
and virtually every person with whom something important must be understood, expressed, negotiated, or repaired.

If You Join Individually
Develop a deeper understanding of your own communication patterns, triggers, strengths, and blind spots, and strengthen the way you listen, express yourself, establish boundaries, navigate disagreement, and respond when emotions rise.
You do not need a partner to participate or to practise what you learn.

If You Join as a Couple
Develop a shared understanding of the patterns shaping your communication and build a common set of tools for listening, expression, conflict, regulation, and repair.
The objective is not to eliminate disagreement, rather it's to become increasingly capable of moving through disagreement without unnecessarily losing connection with one another.
MORE THAN A COURSE. A GUIDED DEVELOPMENTAL EXPERIENCE
Mastering Relational Communication is designed to move beyond information and into practice, reflection, feedback, and integration. Your 4-week course include:
4 LIVE SESSIONS
Four 90-minute live sessions combining psychology, human behavior, practical relational frameworks, real-world examples, guided exercises, discussion, and questions. And don't worry if you miss it. It'll be recoreded and available to you.
INTEGRATION PRACTICES
Structured exercises that bring the learning into your actual relationships, so the concepts are practised between sessions rather than simply understood intellectually.
1:1 COACHING SESSION
An individual session with Eli Maksoudian focused on your own communication patterns, relational challenges, blind spots, and areas of development.
PRIVATE GROUP SUPPORT
A dedicated space throughout the program to ask questions, share reflections, discuss challenges, and remain connected to the learning between live sessions.
INTEGRATION PLAN
At the end of the program, you will leave with a personalized roadmap identifying the patterns you want to change, the capacities you want to strengthen, and the practices that will help you continue integrating the work we learned.
FAQ
Why are places limited?
The program is intentionally kept to a very limited cohort because it includes live interaction, group participation, personalized support, and an individual coaching session for every participant.
Is this program only for couples?
No. Mastering Relational Communication is designed for individuals and couples alike. The skills developed throughout the program apply across romantic, familial, social, and professional relationships. You do not need to attend with a partner to participate.
Can my partner and I participate together?
Yes. Couples are welcome to participate together and can use the program to develop a shared language and practical tools for listening, expression, conflict, regulation, and repair. Note that the account will be in the name of the partner who registers for the course.
Do I need to be experiencing relationship problems to join?
Not at all. This program is not only designed to address communication difficulties. It is equally valuable for people who already have healthy relationships and want to deepen their communication, increase relational awareness, and become more intentional in the way they connect with others.
When are the live sessions?
The program runs for four consecutive Wednesdays:
September 16, 23, 30 and October 7, 2026
Sessions take place live online from 7:00–8:30 PM Eastern Time.
What does the program include?
Your participation includes:
-
Four live 90-minute educational sessions
-
Weekly Integration Practices
-
Private group support throughout the program
-
One private 1:1 coaching session with Eli Maksoudian

How much time should I expect to dedicate outside the live sessions?
The program is designed to integrate into everyday life rather than create a heavy academic workload. Between sessions, participants will be invited to complete practical exercises, reflections, and communication practices that allow the material to be applied directly within real relationships.
What happens during the private coaching session?
Your individual session provides an opportunity to explore your own communication patterns, challenges, blind spots, and developmental priorities in greater depth. The session is personalized to your circumstances and helps translate the broader program material into practical application for your life.
If we're a couple, will the coaching session be with both of us?
Yes. If you're participating as a couple, the coaching session will be with both of you present. During the session we'll discuss communication dynamics between you and strategize the developmental heading based on your needs.
Is this therapy or couples counselling?
No. Mastering Relational Communication is an educational and developmental program focused on communication, human behavior, relational awareness, emotional regulation, and practical skill development. It is not psychotherapy, couples therapy, or a substitute for professional mental-health care when such support is required.
Will I receive a certification?
No. LTYM's philosophy and programs are designed around the development and integration of real-world capacities rather than certifications.
Instead, you will leave the program with a personalized Integration Plan designed to help you continue practising and strengthening the capacities developed throughout the four weeks.
The best certification is the tangible concrete skills you'll acquire in this program that will benefit you for the rest of your life.
